Landscape from Svaneti is a record of my journey to Europe’s most remote, wild, dangerous, but also very rich in art and culture mountain regions, Svaneti in northwestern Georgia. The painting is a visual metaphor of a place where incredible and powerful nature, high mountains, little medieval churches with icons, defence towers lead us to the roots of our civilisation and where we can grow.

This painting received The Harley Open 2020 Judges Prize sponsored by the Harley Foundation.
